This is a great race if you want to feel good about yourself. Why? Because all proceeds go to the Huntington Disease research. I was convinced by my teammates at iRun Triathlon team to sign up for this one. I have started training easy with the team, but I have really a hate relationship with running in general as of late. Is REALLY INFERNAL to run in Miami, and I have been spoiled by the great weather of Barcelona, where I used to love to run.

 New kit day!

New kit day!

Because of that reason, I decided to try for the first time the Aquabike. Which encompasses swim and bike only, NO RUNNING :) . Plus it was a great opportunity to try the new Darkside Triathlon kit ;) .

As you know by know, I didn’t expect anything. Just to execute the race and give the best I can. On this race was really nice to see familiar faces I haven’t seen since I came back to Miami. Additionally doing an Aquabike had it’s little learning curve, as to where do you actually finish? Once you enter transition or at the actual finish line. It seems that depends of the race and on this one was at the finish line.

So once I stepped into T2, I ran barefoot to the finish line haha. No running... yeah right! Haha. Luckily enough I was happy to make it to the podium once again!!!
